A bleak story of Yasu, confined to a wheelchair due to some form of stress disorder referred to as 'anxiety'. When elderly crone Chiyo and her autistic, mute daughter arrive in Yasu's home, his intense dislike proves justified when they begin an unrelenting, apparently motiveless, campaign of mental and physical abuse that rapidly escalates into pure torture.
