Plot

A new type of gang has taken over the troubled violent inner cities of the UK. Tired of hopeless government initiatives and bad policing, younger more focused activists respond by creating their own community infrastructure. Built around different karate clubs each gang has now garnered a formidable reputation protecting their neighbourhoods from social and moral collapse. A national truce has meant that the gangs work quietly together while maintaining no-go zones in each of their respective cities. Power and control have given some of the gangs an opportunity to exploit their position. A meeting is called in Manchester, attended by all of the gang members. The idea put forward is to take the truce a step further, uniting all of the gangs as one single all-powerful confederation. Through the eyes of THE PURIFIERS, a collection of smart, sassy, highly skilled exponents of Tae Kwon Do, we see how the new idea goes against the grain of everything they stand for. Led by the veteran John, the gang leave the meeting knowing that they must get back to the safety of their own environment. The rest of the gangs know, that to make the new way a real possibility, they must get rid of THE PURIFIERS.
